EUCAST panel of phenotypically defined strains

A panel of 10 S. pneumoniae selected based on varying levels of beta-lactam antibiotics can be purchased from the Swedish culture collection CCUG.
The panel can be used in parallel with the QC strain S. pneumoniae ATCC 49619 to validate MIC methods for S. pneumoniae. MICs for non-beta-lactam agents are available as well.
